Mr. Willie "Sug" Murry, a native of Slocomb, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the home of his sister, Frances Burton, in Dothan, following an extended illness. He was 73.
Funeral services for Mr. Murry will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, 11 a.m., at New Holy Temple Church of God in Church in Slocomb with Elder James C. Brown and Elder J.C. Rodgers presiding. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Hartford with Hammond Funeral Home directing. Viewing and vistation for Mr. Murry will be Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Hammond Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral.
