James Matthew Helms

James Matthew Helms of Enterprise, AL passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Enterprise. He was 30. Memorial services will be 3 pm Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Enterprise with Rev. Gary Daniel officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2 pm and continuing until service time. Matt was born December 4, 1976 in Enterprise, AL. He was employed with BellAerospace/US Helicopter in Ozark, AL as a foreman in the depot maintenance operation for 10 years. He was also attending EOCC pursuing a degree in Applied Science. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Enterprise. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, James E. Bush, and paternal grandparents, Davis W. and Allene Morgan Helms. Survivors include a daughter, Ashlynn McKay Helms, and a son, James Matthew Helms. Jr., both of Enterprise; his parents, John D. “Pete” and Susan Bush Helms, Enterprise; 1 sister, Heather Leigh Helms, Enterprise; 2 brothers, Peter M. Helms, Phenix City, AL and John A. Helms, Prattville, AL; maternal grandmother, Mildred Bush, Enterprise; 1 uncle, Thomas Helms, MS.
