CW4 (RET) Dennis D. Houston of Daleville passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 56.
A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Jan Zagorski officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Loves Way Church on Highway 134 West from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, 4301 W. Markham St., Mail #816, Little Rock, AK 72205.
Dennis was born April 28, 1951, in Jessup, Ga., to the late George W. and Helen Bumgarner Houston. He was retired from the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Susan H. Houston, Daleville; two sons, Greg Houston, Enterprise, and C.J. Houston, Daleville; one brother, Robert Houston, Springhill, Fla.; one sister, Jeanette Bennett, Blackshear, Ga.; one grandson, Joey Houston; several nieces and nephews.
Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise, (334) 347-9598, is in charge of arrangements.
