Louise Mitchell, 81, was called to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Parker United Methodist Church, in Parker, Fla. The family will receive friends at Parker United Methodist Church one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Panama City, Fla.
Mrs. Mitchell was a resident of Biloxi, Miss., and previously Callaway, Fla. She was a member of Parker United Methodist Church where she served as food pantry service coordinator for 11 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, James K. Mitchell, and one son, Billy W. Mitchell.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy H. Mitchell and wife, Andrae, of Pace, Fla., Jimmy H. Mitchell and wife, Celia, of Dothan; a daughter, Judy E. Mitchell of Tampa; a sister, Juanita Jones of Fulton, Miss.;and a niece, Rita A. Jones of Fulton, Miss. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Kimberly Williams of Shemya, Alaska, Brien Mitchell of Austin, Texas, Kristina Partridge of Pace, Fla., Kathleen Mitchell of Pace, Fla., John Mitchell of Dothan, and Joseph Mitchell of San Francisco, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice in Dothan. Expressions of sympathy may be submitted and viewed at www.southerlandfamily.com.
