Mr. William Lincoln Wood of Bonifay, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, in North Florida Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Graceville, Fla. He was 84.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Esto Fire Department in his name.
Mr. Wood was born July 20, 1923, in Oxnard, Calif., to the late William Allen and Clara Stubfield Wood.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Etta Wood and wife Glatha Ballinger Wood; one son, James E. Wood; one brother, Walter Allen Wood.
Survivors include one daughter, Lalonee Jacobs of Bonifay; four sons, Lawrence R. Wood of Berea, Ky., Walter D. Wood of Black, William D. Wood of Milwaukee, Wis., Jonathan Wood of Bonifay; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva, (334) 684-2600, is in charge of arrangements.
