Louise A. Childs of Enterprise passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, in Medical Center Enterprise. She was 81.
Funeral services will be Saturday in Searcy Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Rick Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Childs and her husband founded and operated Childs Muffler Center for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur G. Childs and a son, Arthur Van Childs.
Surviving are a son, Larry and LuAnn Childs of Enterprise; daughter, Elizabeth N. Folds of Phenix City; daughter, Jackie Childs of Enterprise; son, Bruce and Gail Childs of Montgomery; daughter, Tami and Les Swain of Eufaula; son, Eddy Childs of Enterprise; three sisters and four brothers; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Childs grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise, (334) 347-2517, is in charge of arrangements.
