Lieutenant Col. (Retired) George W. Harris of Ozark died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at his home following a brief illness. He was 78. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, from St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with the Revs. Paul Egbe and John Ross officiating. Interment will follow with full Military Honors in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark, (334) 774-5348, is in charge of arrangements.
