Carnell Merritt of Hartford Healthcare, Hartford, Alabama died Thursday, September 6, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM , September 8, 2007 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Jimmy Cook. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward-Wilson Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted. The family will be gathered at the home of Cosette Chandler.
Miss Merritt was born in Malvern, Alabama on July 26, 1922. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Mitchell G. Merritt and Linnie Bell Gibson Merritt, two sisters, Gartrell Newberry and Mildred Chesnut Hudson.
She is survived by two sisters, Floy Bell Mims, and L. Angeline Tindell of Malvern, Alabama. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be family members.
