David T. Jones of Dothan died early Thursday morning, Sept. 6, 2007, at his residence. He was 62.
Funeral services will be Saturday in Hodgesville Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Donald Moore, Coley Holloway and Gene Gainous officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main Street, Suite 3, Dothan, AL 36301-1224.
Mr. Jones was born and raised in Geneva County on Nov. 11, 1944, to Tullis and Ethel B. Jones. He was a farmer and loved horses and jug fishing. He was a member of Hodgesville Baptist Church and loving father, grandfather and friend.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Lou Bolin.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Judy Jones of Dothan; three daughters, Lorie and Peter Johnson of Paris, Ill., Marsha and Kevin Cannon of Dothan, Nicole and Eddie Brackin of Dothan; grandchildren, Bradley Galvez, Katie and Jacob Johnson, David and Amber Cannon, Ashley, Daniele and Johnathan Smith; sisters, Jean and Tom Ollhoff of Bloomington, Minn., Ann and Gary Howard of Malvern, Lena Sue and Curtis Goss of Panama City, Fla.; brothers, Quinton Jones of Samson, Billy Joe and Flora Mae Jones of Samson, Jack and Brenda Jones of Seale, Bobby and Jaime Jones of Flint, Mich.
