Mrs. Mary Frances Godwin Davis died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Wesley Manor. She was 82.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Danny Sumerlin officiating. The service will conclude at the Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10am until the time of service. Mrs. Davis will be buried at Dothan City Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Wiregrass Hospice P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Al. 36302 or to Heritage Baptist Church 1951 Westgate Pky., Dothan, Al. 36303.
Mrs. Davis was born June 29, 1925 in Headland to Willie Ples and Clee Barnes Godwin. She was a member at Heritage Baptist Church. She liked to read and work on craft projects. She worked for Tinker Equipment and Holiday Inn with Blumberg Associates.
Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilson Hubert Davis and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Davis and his wife Linda of Dothan, Will Davis and his wife Sheila of Dothan and Larry Davis and his wife Sharon of Mobile, her sister, Imogene Garrett of Dothan, four grandchildren, Russ Davis, Paul Davis, Melissa Davis and Stewart Davis, two great-grandchildren, Bailey Morgan and James Wilson.
The pallbearers will be the Mens Sunday School Class from Heritage Baptist Church.
