John H. Baker, of Enterprise, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at his home in Enterprise. He was 76.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Butler officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2007.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Baker; two sisters, Edna Purcell and Katheryn Machen; three brothers, Robert Baker, Charles Baker and Harry Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Baker, Enterprise; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Mickey McCrummen, Enterprise, Elizabeth and Earl Stokes, Enterprise, Lynn and Frank Snapp, Enterprise; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lora Baker, Dunn, N.C., John L. and Kim Baker, Enterprise; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Thornton, Prattville.
The family would like to give special thanks to DaySpring Hospice and Mid South Home Health for their care and concerns during Mr. Bakers illness.
