Mrs. Mable C. Wise of Dothan passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 79.
Funeral services will be Friday in Ward-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Jones officiating and special music will be provided by the Rev. Tim Willis. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to services Friday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund 1231 Fortner Street Dothan, AL. 36301 or charity of choice.
Mrs. Wise was born in Hartford on Dec. 26, 1927, to the late Elmer Forrest and Winnie Clark Forrest. She has been an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church since 1956 and was involved in several of the churches committees and activities.
Although she worked outside the home briefly in her early years, she mainly devoted her life to caring for and nurturing her family.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Wise.
She is survived by her husband William Roy Wise of Dothan; son, Craig Wise of Panama City, Fla.; daughter, Lisa Peavley of Dothan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
