Mr. Bryant Joel Maloy of Kinston passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007. He was 56.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. James Hataway officiating. Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 until 8 p.m.
Bryant was born March 8, 1951, in Mobile. He owned and operated Flat Creek Salvage for 24 years.
His father, Carl D. Maloy, and a brother, Carl Herman Maloy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Denese Sellers Maloy of Kinston; one stepson, Brandon Huguley and wife, Tara, of Phenix City; mother, Ireta S. Maloy; two brothers: Merwyn Maloy and wife, June, and Daron Maloy, all of Kinston; two nieces, Alyssa Wilson and husband, Ryan, and Emily Miller; one nephew, Marshall Maloy; other extended family and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Don McDougald, Greg Bowden, Keith Wise, Obie Wood, Bob Nichols and Joe Davis.
Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva, (334) 684-9999, is in charge of arrangements.
