Mrs. Betsy Ann Gibson of Enterprise passed away Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2007, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 76.
Memorial services will be Wednesday in the Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with Wiregrass Hospice Chaplain Talmadge Butler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. and continuing until service time. The family will be at 94 Harrand Creek Dr, Enterprise and may be reached at 393-9367.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mrs. Betsy was born Nov. 28, 1930, in East Orange, N.J. to the late Frederick C. Corzilius Sr. and Alice Ross Corzilius. She was a homemaker as well as a caregiver to her late mother for over 20 years. She was devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very loving and generous lady who supported many charities and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a avid beach goer and loved to travel. She touched so many lives with her kindness, selflessness and giving spirit.
Her husband, Charles H. Gibson and a son-in-law, Donald Sandstrom preceded her in death.
Survivors include five children, Gaye Sandstrom (Kevin Laflamme), Cynthia Boggs (Michael), Jill Kowrach (Gary), Scott Gibson (Karla), Joy Gibson (Rex Wilson); one brother, Frederick C. Corzilius Jr.; 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
