NEW FAMILY HOUSING FOR FORT RUCKER

Governor Bob Riley paid a visit to military officials at Fort Rucker yesterday for a special ceremony. It was focus on the military family at a ceremony on Baker Street in Fort Rucker`s family residential section. State and federal officials signed an agreement to build new houses on post by Picerne Military Housing. Fort Rucker`s Commanding General says the army will demolish 1,478 houses over the next 6 1/2 years. Governor Bob Riley was there, and said housing for military families is more important than ever because more military people have families now. And Congressman Terry Everett says Fort Rucker is more privatized than any military installation in the U. S.
