Last month Laura Clark was named the Alabama Small Business Person of the Year Award winner, and yesterday she left for Washington, D. C., hopefully to pick up the National Award.
Winners from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Guam, will assemble at the nation`s capitol to participate in the Small Business Administration Expo.
Laura Clark is the President of LJC Defense Contracting where they service government entities all over the southeast.
Laura will have a chance to meet with President Bush and attend receptions with Alabama State Senators.
If Laura wins this national award, it will be a year of traveling all over the country speaking to small business owners.
Laura will find out tonight in a ceremony in D. C. whether or not she`ll represent small businesses all over the country as "Person of the Year."
