FARMERS IN RISKY POSITION WITH WET WEATHER

Recent heavy rains have not only been dangerous and inconvenient, they`ve also put area farmers in a risky position. Idle machines, fertilizer going to waste, and crops unplanted all add up to a lower profit margin for farmers. Agricultural extension officials in Coffee county say the rain has left the ground too wet to plant seed. Sunny days are in the forecast, however, so that gives the farmer hope.
