PERSONNEL BOARD VS. CITY

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The city of Dothan and the Personnel Board met yesterday to request a resolution that would change the way Dothan city employees file grievances. The new legislation would eliminate the Citizen`s Supervisory Committee and the Personnel Board, completely. It would move the personnel director under the city manager. Currently city employees file grievances under the Personnel Board, but with this new legislation, they will answer to a "Peir Board", made up of city employees. Some people support the idea, and some do not, but both city and personnel board members want to hear how you feel. They will be holding the first of two public hearing today in the City Commission Chambers, immediately following the City Commission Meeting.
