EMA TRYING TO PREPARE FOR THIS YEAR`S HURRANE SEASON

Hurricane season is more than three months away, but in the wake of last year`s onslaught of storms, the EMA wants people to educate themselves and get prepared early. The severity of last year`s hurricane season took the Wiregrass by surprise...many hardware stores ran out of storm related goods. So, EMA officials say now is the best time to get everything you need, even if you have to preorder. Some of the things you`ll need in case of severe weather, are bottled water, flashlights with back up batteries, canned or non-perishable food, and power generators. The National Weather Service is predicting eleven named storms this season.
