I-10 CONNECTOR COULD BE A TOLL ROAD

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Dothan City and Houston County Commissioners are ready to get the I-10 connector project underway, so ready, in fact that some are willing to make you pay more to see it happen. The Alabama Department of Transportation has hired a consultant to see if the proposed highway that would connect Dothan to I-10 in the Florida panhandle would be successful as a toll road. Opinions vary, but all local officials agree that it`s not a bad idea to look into. Houston County Chairman Mark Culver says he supports the idea if it helps expedite the process. Before the consultant can go to work on the toll study, the state has to approve it, and that could take up to six months.
