Updated: January 7, 2009
Governor Bob Riley is planning to wrap up his week with a visit to the Circle City today. The governor has been making a swing around the state pitching his balanced budget plan. Critics of the plan charge that Riley is taking money from the Education Trust Fund to pay for items that should come out of the General Fund. Riley says those programs will benefit schools and says his budgets will invest more in our classrooms than ever before. The governor will be speaking to the Dothan Chamber officials and local business leaders at the airport today at 12:30. News 18 plans to be there, and we`ll have a complete followup tonight on News 18 at 5, 6, & 10 p.m.
