Senator Richard Shelby is getting ready to wear a new hat in the U. S. Senate.
Following the negotiations to restructure the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Shelby is being named as Chairman of the Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations Committee, which oversees agencies such as NASA, The FCC, and The Department of Justice, among others.
Shelby will also remain on The Transportation, Treasury and Housing Subcommittee which he says will allow him to continue supporting infrastructure development in Alabama.
