By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
An unidentified man invaded a home in the east side of Dothan, and held two people at gunpoint for several hours before stealing a vehicle and fleeing the scene yesterday afternoon. Once police were notified, a high speed chase ensued leading them to the intersection of Prevatt Road and Lakeside Drive. The getaway vehicle had a flat tire and rendered the suspect unable to continue running from the police. The suspect then aimed a gun at his head and pulled the trigger. The suspect was taken to Flowers Hospital and died just after 5:00 p. m. yesterday. Police are withholding identification of the suspect pending notification of the family. Watch WDHN tonight at 5, 6, & 10 p.m. for an update on this story.
