DOTHAN SCHOOL BOARD MONTHLY MEETING

It was business as usual last night as the Dothan City School Board met for their monthly meeting. The Board discussed everything from a new school year calendar, to payment requirements for substitute teachers. Also, a Dothan parent asked the board for the second time, to consider adding a drug task force to the school system. It met with agreement and disagreement amoung the board members but overall, the recommendation received a positive reaction. No decision was made. The board agreed to look into the legal ramifications and liability issues, and to give it further consideration. The Dothan City School Board meets on the third Monday of every month at 5 p.m. in the Teachers Center on Dusy St. in Dothan. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
