MAYOR OF LEVEL PLAINS SPEAKS OUT

A mayor in the Wiregrass speaks out following a heated town meeting that led to the removal of a councilman. In Level Plains, allegations have been made by two members of the council that town employees are "living in fear of their jobs." Emotions stemming from the allegations led mayor Tim Jackson to remove council person Willie Reynolds from the latest meeting. Anther member to make accusations, Dot Brown, left along with Reynolds. Mayor Jackson issued a statement yesterday morning. In the release he says, (quote) "I cannot act upon mere assertions without factual allegations or some specificity to the assertions." (end quote) Councilman Willie Reynolds declined comment on the matter.
