The controvery continues over some legal bills recently sent to the City of Dothan.
The invoices are connected to the year long investigation surrounding the police department.
Those bills have added up, and some City Commissioners aren`t quite ready to pay up.
Jason Rudd, Commissioner of Dist. 4 says," everything a lawyer does costs money. If you don`t believe it, just look at these chages from Hardwick, Hause and Segrest. The list of charges includes everything from sending faxes to researching the law, all at $125 an hour." Another entry by Attorney Kevin Walding shows six hours of legal research on polygraph examinations, for the sum of $750.
Commissionr Rudd and other Commissioners are reluctant to pay the invoices without more detailed information.
The Personnel Board`s investigation has formally been suspended, but Dothan City Manager Mike West is conducting his own inquiry into the allegations.
