By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The city of Dothan is changing the way it gets rid of surplus property, and it could mean some real bargains for people in the Wiregrass. At yesterday`s City Comission meeting, the city`s General Services Director, Larry Mench, requested authorizaion to contract with two on line auction services, govdeals and govauctions U. S. to sell surplus property more efficiently and make more mney for the city. Selling surplus property online is a new idea for the Dothan City Commission, although neighboring Coffee County has been using "govdeals" for several years.
