SCRUSHY TRIAL UPDATE:
The corporate fraud trial against ousted Healthsouth CEO Richard Scrushy continues in Birmingham.
Yesterday, an FBI agent denied altering secret recordings that prosecutors say link Scrushy to the case.
The agent said there were problems with the recordings which former CFO Bill Owens made on the eve of an FBI raid that resulted in Scrushy`s indictment.
He said a hidden recorder worn by Owens failed to work on the first of two days of recording, and a secret transmitter ran out of battery power on the second day.
Prosecutors contend the recordings prove Scrushy`s guilt.
