CHANGE OF RESPONSIBILITY CEREMONY AT FORT RUCKER

It is the start of another new era out at Ft. Rucker...yesterday morning the post held a change of responsibility ceremony for one of its leaders.
Command Sergeant Major Walter K. Beckman is now replaced by Command Sergeant Major Buford Thomas, who comes to Ft. Rucker from Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
The event also served as a retirement ceremony for Beckmann, as noted by the Commanding General of Ft. Rucker, Brigadier General, E. J. Sinclair.
Sergeant Major Thomas takes over as Command Sergeant Major of the Army Aviation Center, and that makes him the highest-ranking enlisted soldier on post.
