DEATH OF 4-MONTH OLD BABY UPDATE

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Last month, baby Phoenix Parish died after his mothr allegedly slammed his head against a bed because he wouldn`t stop crying. Now two Florida caseworkers have been fired, and another demoted in connection with the case. Child Welfare officials found the caseworkers did not follow correct procedures to keep the child from being moved out of Florida and into the hands of the mother, Tierra Gobble. That family came to Dothan shortly before the baby died. A Florida court order had even prohibited Gobble from having any contact with the child. She remains in the Houston County Jail, and faces trial for capital murder and domestic violence.
