A man accused of driving a stolen semi-truck, has a scheduled day in court this week. Dothan Police say 33-year old Richard Lavon Beardsley, is expected to appear before a Judge. He is accused of receiving stolen property-first-degree, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest. Dothan police spotted the stolen truck January 15th in south Dothan. Officers tried to pull him over, but they "claim" the driver refused to stop, and there was a brief chase. Beardsley apparently jumped out while the truck was still moving and ran into a wooded area, where he was later captured. Beardsley is being held in the Dothan City Jail, without bond.
