The state of Alabama isn`t slacking when it comes to education. According to a new report by the Fordham Foundation, Alabama is one of only five states in the nation to earn a grade of A for its English standards, and one of only three states to receive a B in mathematic standards. State Superintendent Joe Morton praises the findings, saying the report is, (quote), "a testament to increased accountability, quality education, structured curriculum, and dedicated educators in Alabama schools."
