ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT "FLIERS"

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Elementary school students from the Wiregrass Boys & Girls Clubs had quite a special outing yesterday. They took a field trip to the Dothan Reginal Airport, courtesy of Flight Line. Don Smith, owner of Flight Line at the Dothan Airport, wanted to give the kids a chance to learn first hand about airplanes and flying. Flight Line personnel taught principles of flight to the students, and then hosted a field trip to Napier Field Airport. The kids received first hand instruction on airplanes, and then they took to the air for free plane rides. Boys and Girls Clubs officials are hoping that field trips like this become a regular occurrance.
