ALLEGED CON-ARTIST JAILED

The Houston County Sheriff`s Department has put an alleged con-artist in jail, and they say it is not the first time he has been in trouble with the law. 60 year old Irby Franklin Jordan of Gene Terry Road in Cottonwood has been arrested and charged with theft by deception, 2nd degree. Allegedly, Jordan told one of his victims that he was a private investigator, and was following her unfaithful husband. He took money from the victim totaling 13-hundred dollars. In another case, Jordan has been charged with theft by deception 1st degree, scamming a person out of 12-thouand, 8-hundred dollars. Jordan is in the Houston County Jail under a total of 30-thousand dollars bond. Authorities say, if you`ve had business dealings with the suspect, or think you`ve been scammed, give them a call.
