CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Christmas has come and gone and it is now time to pack up the decorations, pull down the stockings and un-trim the tree. So what to do with that old tree? Dothan Utilities is gathering your used christmas trees for recycling. They say to load up your tree and bring it to the Dothan Utilities Complex off of S. Park Avenue, and look for the big tree recycling sign. Recycling your tree is a great way to save landfill space and, after it is chipped, your christmas tree will be used for mulch around the City of Dothan. Fishermen like to put christmas trees in the bottom of lakes and ponds for structure...and that is perfectly fine. As a matter of fact, people are coming to the recycling center and gathering up trees for that purpose. If you set your christmas tree out with your garbage, they say it is likely that it will not be picked up.
