breaking news
With the New Year`s Holiday weekend almost upon us, people in Dothan were busy yesterday rolling up their sleeves to help out with the area`s blood supply. The Wiregrass Chapter of the American Red Cross held a blood drive yesterday.
Officials say New Year`s Eve is a dangerous time for motorists, and they want to be prepared.
Yesterday`s drive may be over, but the Red Cross says you can always drop by and give. Their regular office hours are Monday and Thursday from 1PM to 7PM.
The Red Cross office is located at 1004 Montezuma Avenue in Dothan.
All blood types are needed, and if you have not given blood within the last 56 days and you are at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds, you are the ideal candidate to give the gift of life.
