JIM LOFTIN WILL BE REMEMBERED AS MAN WHO MADE A HUGE IMPACT ON DOTHAN

Yesterday, family and friends came together for Jim Loftin, who died last week. Loftin left his mark on many areas of education, culture and life in Alabama...among them, he was Scholarship Chairman for the Houston-Henry County Chapter of the University of Alabama`s Alumni Association. In 1990, he was named to UA`s Board of Trustees. Also, he served two terms as Chairman of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as a variety of other Boards. He is survived by his wife Miriam, four children and several grand-children. Jim Loftin was 69 years old.
