ANGEL TREE FOR VICTIMS OF CRIMES ON DISPLAY

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Wiregrass Angel House is starting up an old tradition. Years ago, the group used to put up an angel tree every year, with the names of victims from the Wiregrass area who have been killed in various crimes. The last year was in 1995, but now it`s back for 2004. Volunteers with the group say they`ve talked to hundreds of people over the years who wanted to place their loved ones names on an angel to be remembered. They say so often, Christmas is a hard time for families of the victims, and they want to let them know they are not forgotten and never will be. The Angel House is located on N. St. Andrews Street where the old Police Department used to be. You can stop by and see the tree and the names of the victims during regular business hours.
