HOUSTON COUNTY AFFECTED BY HIV & AIDS VIRUS

Updated: January 7, 2009
An alarming new health statistic involving the Wiregrass. According to a recent report, Houston County is among the top three counties in the state to be affected by HIV and aids. That number is especially frightening considering the fact that more than 13-thousand Alabamians were diagnosed with HIV and aids by the end of last year. S.T.D. testing is done free of charge at the Houston County Health Department, and at the Montgomery Aids Outreach Branch here in Dothan, located off Main Street.
