Updated: January 7, 2009
A woman and her three children are safe in their Dale County home after being abducted at gunpoint by her 61 year old ex-husband, Max Hines. Hines fired a round of shots into the air before ordering 30 year old Victoria Hines and her three children into his pick-up truck. He then headed down Highway 231 toward Dothan. Police found Hines and his ex-wife yesterday morning in Eufaula, and he was taken into custody. The children were recovered in Georgetown, Georgia where they were staying with a friend of the suspect. Fortunately, they were all unharmed.
