If you are a smoker, you may soon need to double check your luggage before you head to the airport to catch a flight. The new Intelligence Reform Bill just passed by Congress and awaiting the President`s signature, calls for a ban on Butane lighters through Airport Security. If signed into law, it would prohibit people from bringing that item onto flights, and in turn would also keep vendors from selling lighters at airports. We spoke to officials at Dothan Regional Airport, who still stresses, the regulation could still be a few months away from becoming a law. Art Morris, of the Dothan Regional Airport says, if the bill does make it into law, T.S.A. would then have to step in and craft a regulation to ban the item.
