POST OFFICE SCAM

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A word of caution for residents from U. S. Postal Inspectors...they`re warning the public about a new money order scam being pushed by phone and over the internet. The victim is told the scammer needs help converting cash...if he of she agrees, a forged check or money order is mailed to the victim with instructions to deposit it immediately, and return the cash by Western Union, by bank, or by wire transfer. Authorities say anyone approached should contact police or postal inspectors immediately.
