Officials at Fort Rucker are now ready for a terrorist attack, just in case.
Fort Rucker`s Military Police, Fire Dpartment and Medical Center responded to a "chemical explosion" which took place on base early yesterday morning. Several victims were seriously injured, or "pretended" to be....it wasn`t a "real" chemical explosion, it was all a part of a drill...in hopes of being prepared for a "real life" scenario.
Officials explained that what they were doing was an anti-terrorist force protection exercise, basically to test the skills or response skills of military police, fire department and emergency service type units.
Officials say situations like this are extremely important, they say they`d rather be prepared than caught off guard.
Fort Rucker officials conduct the mock terrorist attack annually as a homeland security precaution.
