New information on the human remains that were found some time ago in West Dothan. They were located in October at a construction site off Whatley Drive near John D. Odom Road. Since then, Dothan police have been working with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for examination and analysis to make a positive idenity. Chief John White held a press conference yeaterday, and said that officers have been working with L.S. U. and their "faces" Labaratory, and they now have provided a descriptor of the remains...they`ve been identified as a white female between the age of 25-38 years old...of possible Native American or Asian discent, height between five foot one and five foot five, and an estimated death at three to eight years. Chief White says, (quote) "we will take this and compare to any open missing person cases and to other databases for dental evidence, and try to indenify this individual." The department is expected to work diligently over the next several weeks...they are currently treating the case as a homicide.
