Also at yesterday`s Houston County Commission meeting, commissioners voted to request the opinion of the Attorney General, regarding who has jurisdiction over certain subdivision regulations. Chairman Mark Culver says there is a disagreement between the county and city commissioners on who has to relinquish their authority...Culver says the county is seeking an opinion from the Attorney General`s office in hopes of clearing the situation up. In the past, the county has requested that the city enforce their subdivision regulations only up to the city limits. Officils say they thought turning to the Attorney General was a good idea to help solve the problem. Culver says county commissioners still has some concerns over things like storm drainage, but they are willing to work with city officials to solve those problems.
