RECORD NUMBER OF VOTERS IN DALE COUNTY

Voters in Dale County also went to the polls in record numbers. Turnout was almost 70 percent. Some who hadn`t gotten involved in the political process in years, came out to voice their opinions at the ballot box. Officials say most of the day went smoothly, but the work of counting votes in Dale County is not over. Dale County voted for two new County Commissioners...Kurt McDaiel in District Four and Glenn Grantham in District Two. For Board of Education, Don Williams won in District Five, and David Adams in District Two. Next Tuesday at noon...Dale counties 39 provisional ballots will be presented to the Probate Judge, and she will decide if they`ll be counted.
