In just a few nights, lots of little ghosts and gobbins will be walking through your neighborhood for a trick-or-treat. Halloween is being observed in Dothan on Saturday night...it`s always a time of great fun for kids, but it`s also a dangerous time for kids and parents who aren`t careful. Captain John Givens of the Dothan Police Department, offers a few tips to keep your little ones safe for the holiday. Captain Givens says, "kids should only venture into well lit neighborhoods and never go trick-or-treating alone. He urges parents to make sure kids cross only at crosswalks, walk facing the on-coming traffic, and carry some type of light stick.
