By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Alabama Department of Transportation has re-opened highway 52 to through traffic in our state, but there are still detours and delays for Georgia drivers across the state line. The Department closed both sides of the road yesterday near the state line due to a train derailment that happened in Georgia, detouring traffic along Alabama 95 to U. S. 84 East. As of last night, traffic detours were still up in Georgia on state route 62 by the Georgia D.O.T., as the cleanup effort continues.
