Updated: January 7, 2009
There is an upsetting case coming out of the town of Pickard that concerns both residents and the loved ones of the deceased. One of the most historic cemeteries in Pinckard has been vandalized several times now. The Jacobs-Snell Mount Moriah Cemetery has been hit dozens of times in the last six months, and last weekend the vandals struck again, stealing marble headstones and rod iron that surrounds some of the graves. Dana Courtney of the Pinckard Police Department says, some of the stones are priceless. The Dale County District Attorney`s Office is offering a thousand dollar reward for information that would lead to the capture of the thieves.
