E-MAIL SCAM WARNING

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Customers of Southtrust Bank are receiving a warning of a new e-mail scam targeting their account information. According to bank spokesman David Oliver, someone has been sending out a bogus mass e-mail that showed up late last week. So far no one seems to have taken the bait. Oliver thinks that is because they have been getting the word out that Southtrust will never ask it`s customers for unsecured account information. He said the only way Southtrust would ever seek such information is through the bank`s "secure" wedsite...never through an e-mail.
